Detailed introduction
Seed pot is also known as strain culture pot. The strain expansion pot is a pot for fermentation and cultivation of strains (microorganisms), that is, the microbial expansion pot. Stainless steel seed pot is suitable for yoghurt, Lactobacillus beverage, brewing, pharmaceutical, chemical and fungal culture. The common strains of seed pot culture are producing monosodium glutamate, citric acid, enzymes and so on. The design of seed pot should be based on the characteristics of microorganisms to be cultured and expanded. The difference between the seed tank and the fermenter is that the seed tank is generally small in volume, with flame inoculator, and the fermenter has no inoculator. It is connected with the seed tank and directly imports strains from the seed tank for fermentation.
Flange connection is generally used for the head and body of seed cans, which is convenient for disassembly, cleaning and maintenance. The tank body is equipped with lenses, and the top head is equipped with lenses and spotlights to facilitate the observation of bacterial culture. Stirring can break the bubbles, make the air contact with the solution evenly, and dissolve the oxygen in the culture medium. The function of baffle is to change the direction of liquid flow, from radial flow to axial flow, to make the liquid turn sharply and increase dissolved oxygen. The function of setting up the defoaming device is to break the foam. The common forms of defoamer are zigzag, comb and orifice. The aperture of orifice plate type is about 10-20 mm. The length of defoamer is about 0.65 times the diameter of tank. The seed tank uses jacket for heat transfer, which can keep constant temperature, raise temperature and lower temperature. Shaft seals seal the gap between the top or bottom of the tank and the shaft to prevent leakage and contamination of bacteria.
