Summary of Mechanical Ventilation Fermentation Tank
Mechanical ventilation fermentation tank is suitable for aerobic microbial fermentation. Aerobic microorganism fermentation needs continuous oxygen, so ventilated dissolved oxygen is needed to ensure microbial fermentation. Oxygen bubbles can be dispersed by mechanical stirring, which is conducive to liquid dissolved oxygen, and ventilation ensures the supply of oxygen. Because of the more aerobic microorganisms, mechanical ventilation fermentation tank is a common fermentation tank.
CHARACTERISTICS OF MECHANICALLY VENTILATED FERMENTATION TANKS
The most prominent characteristics of mechanical ventilation fermentation tank are stirring and aeration. The function of the agitator is to break the bubbles, make the air contact with the solution evenly, and make the oxygen dissolve in the fermentation broth. There are two types of agitators: axial type (blade type, propeller type) and radial type (turbine type). Axial agitator: blade type, propeller type. Disc turbine: straight blade, curved blade and arrow blade. Ventilation is to compress clean air into an air tank by an oil-free air compressor, and to reduce the pressure to 0.30 Mpa to the general air filter and the fine air filter. The sterile air from the ventilation is then fed to the fermentation tank. The air in fermentor and seed tank requires sterility, because once there is a miscellaneous bacteria, it will pollute, harmful microorganisms will multiply, and fermentation will fail. Therefore, sterilization and sterilization must be controlled in fermentation. The sterilization of mechanical ventilated fermentation tank is free and eliminated. Empty sterilization is to sterilize empty tanks, through the tank through clean steam for high temperature sterilization. Actual sterilization is usually carried out by heating the steam through the jacket to 100 degrees Celsius and sterilizing the steam through the tank. The mechanical ventilation fermentation tank has a suitable diameter-height ratio. The higher the tank, the higher the oxygen utilization rate. Mechanical ventilation fermentation tank can withstand certain pressure. Mechanical ventilation should ensure the dissolved oxygen of fermentation broth, so the selection of air compressor type should be appropriate. The mechanical fermenter has enough cooling area. The shaft seal of the agitator should be tight, prevent bacteria and reduce leakage.
