　　Summary of Sedimentation Tank
　　The so-called precipitation tank is for the separation of insoluble and soluble substances in solution. For example, insoluble starch, gum, protein, pectin and mucinous pigments in water extract are added to precipitate the insoluble alcohol by adding appropriate amount of ethanol. The extracted ethanol supernatant contains tannins, alkaloids, alcohol-soluble amino acids, glycosides and so on, so as to remove impurities and extract effective medicinal ingredients. Precipitation tank is used in traditional Chinese medicine, condiments, sugar making, pesticides and other industries. The most widely used is the precipitation separation of extracts from food and traditional Chinese medicine industries.
　　CHARACTERISTICS OF SEDIMENTATION TANK
　　Sedimentation tank mainly consists of tank body, head, mechanical mixing transmission device, jacket and heat exchange tube, adjustable supernatant outlet, lower slag discharge port, etc. In order to facilitate the separation of precipitation, the upper elliptical head and the lower conical head of the cylinder body are usually constructed with a conical angle of 60 to 120 degrees. After precipitation, impurities are deposited at the bottom of the cone, and the clear liquid is discharged from the upper part through the outlet of the supernatant.
　　The transmission system of precipitation tank generally consists of motor, reducer, seal, rack part, agitator, etc. When the load of container is large, low-speed agitator can be selected. On the contrary, the speed of agitation is larger. The function of the transmission system is to make the solvent mix evenly in the material, to facilitate the selective separation between solvent and solute, and to achieve the optimal separation effect. Different mixing devices are prepared according to different tank sizes and components of Chinese medicine water extract. The mixing specifications can be designed and manufactured according to actual conditions.
　　The inner liner of the precipitator is polished with high quality stainless steel SUS316L/304, which meets the requirements of food and pharmaceutical hygiene level. The sandwich adopts SUS304 stainless steel, and the sandwich is equipped with stainless steel guide plate, which is conducive to the diversion of cooling water. External welding filling stainless steel outsourcing, polyurethane insulation, conducive to heat preservation, to prevent the rapid loss of heat, environmental protection and energy saving. The sedimentation tank has the functions of heating/cooling, heat preservation and stirring. The tank body is designed with process nozzles such as material inlet, pure water outlet, outlet, sampling port, heat exchange inlet and outlet. The design of automatic control system for sedimentation tank includes process control such as feeding, discharging, temperature control and stirring, so as to reduce labor intensity and realize full automatic control of sedimentation process.
